**Description:**
As a Flight Attendant at American Airlines, you will be an ambassador of our brand and have the chance to create a pleasant flight experience for our passengers. This role demands a high level of personal excellence and professional engagement, as well as an empathetic understanding of passenger needs and cultural nuances.
**Responsibilities:**
– Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers aboard the aircraft.
– Perform pre-flight safety checks and demonstrate emergency procedures.
– Provide information, guidance, and assistance to passengers.
– Serve beverages, meals, and snacks.
– Administer and coordinate in-flight sales of merchandise.
– Handle emergencies and unforeseen situations with calm and professionalism.
– Adhere to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) laws and regulations.
**Requirements:**
– Minimum age of 21 years.
– High school diploma or GED equivalent.
– Fluent in English; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
– Ability to reach overhead bins and stand for long periods.
– Comfortable with a flexible schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
– Pass a background check, drug test, and have no visible tattoos or piercings that can’t be covered discreetly.
– Excellent personal grooming and professional attitude.
– Ability to lift luggage and other items up to 35 pounds.
**Educational Qualifications:**
– High School Diploma or GED required.
– Further certifications in Hospitality, Travel, or a related field will be advantageous.
**Experience:**
– No prior experience required, as full training will be provided.
– Previous experience in customer service or hospitality can be beneficial.
