The Florida Virtual School (FLVS) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Full-Time Middle Grades World History Instructor who is certified by the State of Florida. This position is designed for individuals who are committed to providing an educational atmosphere that fosters intellectual, emotional, physical, and psychological growth among students. The Instructor will be responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that aligns with FLVS and state policies, ensuring that students achieve academic success. The role requires a proactive approach to planning, preparing, and implementing instructional activities that engage students in meaningful learning experiences. In this position, the Instructor will identify, select, create, and modify instructional resources to cater to the diverse needs of students, including those with varying backgrounds and learning styles. The Instructor will also assist in assessing curricular needs and propose plans for improvement. Maintaining effective record-keeping procedures is essential, as is creating a positive environment that encourages student engagement in the learning process. Communication with students, parents, and other professionals is crucial, and collaboration with peers will enhance the instructional environment through team teaching and participation in various committees. The Instructor will be expected to model professional and ethical standards, ensure continuous student growth and achievement, and meet specific performance goals. Participation in research and presentations about online teaching is also a key aspect of the role, which may include authoring articles and hosting workshops. Responsibilities

Requirements
? Bachelor's Degree in Education or related field.

? Valid Florida Professional Teaching Certificate in content area assigned or proof of active enrollment in a state-approved EPI or MAT program with a valid Florida state-issued Statement of Eligibility or valid Temporary Certificate in content area assigned.

? Endorsements as required by Florida Department of Education.

? One year of successful teaching experience within the subject area or successful completion of an FLVS instructional internship program or current enrollment in an approved EPI or MAT program.

? Operational knowledge of the Internet and Web-related technologies.
