Scenic Community Credit Union is seeking a dedicated Indirect Loan Officer to join our team. This role supports SCCU's commitment to exceptional service and member satisfaction. As the Indirect Loan Officer, you will provide critical backup support for the Indirect Lending Manager, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in loan processing, dealership relationships, and adherence to compliance regulations. This position offers an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with dealerships while working to meet annual loan origination goals.
Key Responsibilities: ? Liaison Support: Act as a contact between SCCU and partner dealerships, internal departments, and members, providing resolution for any issues and fostering strong business relationships. ? Loan Processing: Accurately complete loan documentation, ensuring each loan is fully processed, documented, and disbursed in a timely manner. ? Dealer Relations: Build and maintain dealership relationships through ongoing communication, problem-solving, and regular site visits, aiding in meeting SCCU's annual loan origination goals. ? Quality Control: Conduct thorough reviews of loan files, verifying all necessary paperwork, signatures, fees, and computer information for accuracy. ? Compliance and Regulatory Adherence: Apply knowledge of federal and state lending laws, including the Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Federal Truth-In Lending Act, ensuring compliance within all Indirect Lending Department activities. ? Fraud Detection and Reporting: Investigate any indication of fraud from dealership partnerships and report findings per SCCU protocols. ? BSA Compliance: Complete CTR reports as necessary, file suspicious activity reports (SARs) when applicable, and attend annual BSA training. ? General Administrative Duties: Manage member communication channels, perform clerical duties, and ensure timely responses to phone calls, emails, and member needs. ? Account Setup: Open new share accounts for members, entering details accurately into SCCU?s mainframe system. ? Policy Adherence: Follow all company policies and act as a role model to others by providing exceptional service, championing company values, representing the Credit Union with professionalism, supporting team efforts, and arriving on time each day with a positive attitude. ? Communication and Organization Skills: Demonstrate strong presentation, verbal, and written communication skills, with high levels of organization and attention to detail. ? Technical Proficiency: Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Allegro/Dills. ? Confidentiality: Maintain the highest level of confidentiality regarding all sensitive, confidential, and proprietary Credit Union information. ? Independent Work Ethic: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision to prioritize, organize, and direct tasks effectively.
Qualifications: ? Education: Associate degree in finance, business, or a related field (preferred). ? Experience: Background in loan processing, indirect lending, or financial services, preferably within a credit union or similar financial institution. ? Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, attention to detail, proficiency in data entry, and familiarity with lending compliance regulations. ? Attributes: Collaborative, proactive, and driven to meet goals while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
