The Accounts Receivable Specialist provides financial administrative support and is responsible for all transactions related to the company's accounts receivable. This position will be accountable for all AR processes and workflows which lead to the timely collection of Powerhouse customers.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: ? Maintains thorough and accurate records for assigned customer accounts. ? Reconciling customer accounts for accuracy; Investigate and resolve account discrepancies. ? Reviews all AR invoices for appropriate documentation and approval prior to sending out. ? Coding and verifying distribution combination of every invoice for accuracy. ? Coordinates lien waivers and maintains all lien notices when required. ? Work with other departments to ensure that the correct amounts & information are collected in a timely manner. ? Ensure the company receives payments for goods and services. ? Ensure the adequacy of the accounting system as the basis for reporting to management. ? Working with a billing system generating invoices according to company practices. ? Submitting invoices for approval by management or clients. ? Review and follow up on correspondence with internal and external customers. ? Import (scan) pertinent documents into customer account and populate the record accordingly. ? Make sure the customer has sales tax exemption certificates on file if needed. ? Provide excellent customer service and support to our customers. ? Assists Billing/Accounting Manager and accounting/finance team as necessary. ? Consider the need for new or changed controls. ? Assists with other projects as needed.

Minium Qualifications

2 years of relevant work experience required.

Experience with the construction, facility maintenance, and exterior services industry accounting preferred.

Technical Skills

Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications

Intermediate To Advanced Excel Skills Required

Great Plains software experience preferred

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. This position works in an environment with moderate noise level. (Examples: business office with computers and printers, light traffic). Usual office environment with frequent sitting, walking, standing, and occasional climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching and balancing. Frequent use of eye, hand, and finger coordination enabling the use of office machinery. Oral and auditory capacity enabling interpersonal communication as well as communication through automated devices such as telephone. The employee must occasionally lift and /or move up to 20 pounds. Ability to read and understand work instructions.
