Much more Who We Need: We are looking for helpful associates who do not want to be restricted to a specific location. You will frequently travel between different branches and assist customers with their needs. Universal Bankers are the adaptable problem solvers of M&T; you will be an important member of our team as we build relationships with customers, process their transactions, and help them understand products and services available to them. We will provide you with all the training skills needed to be successful. Hiring Immediately! Your Typical Day: Welcome all bank visitors with a warm and friendly smile Listen to customers and understand their needs Educate customers so they understand the products and services available to them, making recommendations when appropriate. Accurately and efficiently process customer transactions Work closely with M&T Business partners, when necessary, to ensure all needs are met. Call existing customers to retain and expand relationships Support a diverse environment that supports the M&T Bank brand Complete required training under the Federal SAFE Act Education and Experience Required: High school diploma or equivalent (GED) Minimum 1 year experience in any of the following: retail, customer service, tele-sales, or call center Education and Experience Preferred: Professional communication skills and interpersonal skills Retail customer services skills Strong organizational and time management skills Technology savvy Demonstrated success with cross-selling and referring products and services Bilingual ability is not required but is a strong plus depending on location Physical Requirements Lifting objects up to 30lbs M&T Bank is committed to fair, competitive, and market-informed pay for our employees.
