Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking an experienced Interim Accounting Manager to join their team. This critical role will focus on ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reporting, overseeing external reporting functions, and supporting audit and year-end reporting. This is a 100% remote position with a preference for candidates in the Eastern Standard Time (EST) zone. The initial engagement is expected to last 2-3 months with potential for extension based on business needs.
Responsibilities
? Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
? Ensure compliance with US GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
? Collaborate with external auditors during reviews and audits.
? Research and apply technical accounting standards to complex transactions.
? Provide guidance on accounting treatment for unique or non-routine financial events.
? Prepare and review external filings and reports.
? Leverage expertise in NetSuite to streamline financial reporting processes.
? Support the finance and accounting teams with guidance on technical matters.
Requirements
? CPA certification required.
? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; Master?s degree preferred.
? Relevant experience in financial reporting and technical accounting, with a focus on US GAAP.
? Proficiency in NetSuite required.
