The HEDIS Nurse position is a temporary role focused on medical record review and compliance with HEDIS hybrid measures. The nurse will assist in the collection and review of medical records, provider outreach, and other project-related activities, ensuring high accuracy in abstraction and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Responsibilities
? Review medical records to determine compliant records.

? Meet daily abstraction goals and maintain a high abstraction accuracy percentage.

? Assist in the preparation and submission of medical records to the HEDIS vendor.

? Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify and obtain necessary information.

? Coordinate and perform on-site medical record abstraction as needed.

? Identify difficult providers as well as those who readily send medical records.
,
? Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Requirements
? Active nursing license (RN or LPN).
,
? Minimum of 2 years experience with HEDIS Medical Record Review.

? In-depth knowledge of HEDIS hybrid measures.
,
? Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

? Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
,
? Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

? Proficient in electronic medical records (EMR) and case management systems.
