The Epic Systems Administrator (ECSA) position is a critical role within a healthcare organization located in Greenville, NC, which provides trauma, rehabilitation, and outpatient health services to over 1.4 million people across 70 locations in 29 counties. The organization boasts a clinical staff of more than 500 physicians and 1,200 nurses, handling approximately 80,000 inpatient visits, 460,000 outpatient visits, and 3,000 newborn visits annually. The ECSA will join a dedicated team of three, consisting of two Level 2 administrators and one Level 3 administrator, focusing on interconnectivity and FHIR (Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources) within the Epic systems environment. In this role, the ECSA will support multiple projects related to integration within the Epic space for third-party applications. The position is hybrid, requiring participation in the Windows server team to ensure that servers are functioning optimally, including load balancing and other server management tasks. The successful candidate will have daily interactions with the MyChart team and will utilize tools such as Kupier and system polls. Responsibilities will also include addressing operational on-call issues, which may involve EPS (Epic Printing Services), blob work, and resolving Citrix connectivity issues related to performance. Candidates must have experience with Citrix PVS, as this will be a daily aspect of the role. The organization has recently upgraded its systems from Windows 2012 to Windows 2019, and familiarity with virtualization technologies such as VMware and V-Center is essential. Additionally, the ECSA will be required to obtain all three Epic certifications within the first year of employment if they do not already possess them.
Responsibilities
