The Casualty Claims Representative 2 position is an essential part of our team, managing more complex injury and damage portions of claims for Auto, Home, and Farm. Incumbents provide the support our customers need while ensuring claims are resolved swiftly. Casualty Claims Reps analyze and determine the extent of Grange Insurance Association's Coverage and Liability concerning loss and damages on a claim. In this role, you will interpret policies and analyze details gathered to determine the best course of action. You will prioritize contact with various parties associated with the claim, ensuring efficiency, and gather details on the status and treatment needed for those injured in an accident. You will also determine liability, evaluate and settle bodily injury and general liability claims, and negotiate with customers, attorneys, and other insurance carriers. The ability to work in a hybrid working environment, with 2 days in the office, is essential. Other duties may be assigned as needed.
Responsibilities
? Interpret policies and analyze details gathered to determine the best course of action.

? Gather details on status and treatment needed of those injured in an accident.

? Determine liability for claims.

? Evaluate and settle bodily injury and general liability claims.

? Negotiate with customers, attorneys, and other insurance carriers.

? Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree and 2-5 years of P&C Casualty Claims work experience; experience may substitute for education.

? Experience and ability to make decisions, problem solve, plan, prioritize, and organize.

? Effective verbal and written communication skills.
,
? Proven knowledge of insurance contracts, medical terminology, and legal aspects of court procedures affecting legal liability for all lines of insurance.

? Proven analytical skills necessary to make decisions and resolve conflict in areas such as application of coverage to submitted claims, application of laws of jurisdiction to investigation facts, and application of policy exclusions and exceptions.

? Excellent customer service skills necessary to effectively communicate and/or negotiate with policy holders, claimants, attorneys, agents, and the general public.
