About the position

The Subrogation Paralegal at Allstate Insurance Company plays a crucial role in supporting Client Legal Services attorneys by providing comprehensive paralegal assistance. This position involves preparing various legal documents, including pleadings and motions, under the supervision of attorneys. The paralegal will facilitate the discovery process, which includes obtaining necessary records, reviewing documents, interviewing clients, and preparing trial materials. Additionally, the role requires summarizing and analyzing research to support the legal team effectively. In this position, the paralegal will be responsible for reviewing new file assignments and drafting initial pleadings such as answers and motions. Communication is key, as the paralegal will interact with Claim Business Partners and Plaintiff Attorneys to provide updates on case statuses. The role also involves assisting attorneys in identifying and summarizing relevant legal issues, monitoring these issues, and preparing materials for trial, arbitration, or mediation. The Subrogation Paralegal will also handle responses to discovery demands, assist clients with their inquiries regarding discovery, and draft necessary responses. Furthermore, the paralegal will review new and proposed legislation to determine its applicability to ongoing cases and prepare briefs to assist clients in presenting their cases in small claims court. This position is remote, allowing for flexibility while working from home in Dallas, TX.

Responsibilities
? Review new file assignments and draft initial pleadings (e.g. answer, motion, etc.)

? Draft discovery documents and responses to discovery demands

? Communicate with Claim Business Partners and Plaintiff Attorneys regarding case status

? Assist in identifying and summarizing relevant legal issues

Requirements
? 4 year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)
,
? 0-2 years experience in a paralegal role (Preferred)
,
? Paralegal Certification (Preferred)
,
? Strong legal writing and document preparation skills
,
? Ability to gather evidence and prepare cases effectively
,
? Digital literacy and proficiency in legal management software
,
? Excellent multitasking and organizational skills
,
