Finance Coordinator (Unanet GovCon Experience Required)

Gentry Professional Services seeks an experienced Finance Coordinator, for 1-2 days a week, with deep expertise in government contracting and Unanet GovCon accounting software. This role manages accounts receivable (AR), accounts payable (AP), vendor relations, and supports government contract billing, cost accounting, and audit processes. It is a fully remote, flexible position, ideal for a highly organized professional with a strong compliance background and government finance expertise.
Key Responsibilities
? Oversee AR/AP processes, ensuring accuracy in invoicing, bank reconciliations, and expense reports.
? Handle expense reports and financial queries from employees and liaise with vendors and Unanet support for system needs.
? Ensure adherence to government accounting standards and compliance regulations, including FAR.
? Facilitate month-end close processes and assist in preparing financial reports.
? Support audit processes specific to government contracts and maintain DCAA-compliant records.
? Work independently to manage multiple financial tasks while ensuring high attention to detail.
Qualifications
? Education: Bachelor?s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
? Experience: Minimum 5 years of bookkeeping experience within the government contracting sector.
? Technical Skills: Proficiency in Unanet GovCon and familiarity with DCAA-compliant accounting systems.
? Compliance Knowledge: Deep understanding of government accounting standards, billing regulations, and compliance requirements.
? Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
? Organizational Skills: Strong ability to multitask, with high attention to detail and the capacity to work independently.
Additional Requirements
? Knowledge of payroll systems, with experience supporting audit processes for government contracts.
? Must pass a background check and drug test.
