As an Auto Appraiser (Virtual) in the Amarillo, TX area, you will play a crucial role in this mission by investigating, evaluating, and appraising vehicle damage claims for both repairable and total loss vehicles. Your work will ensure estimate accuracy in compliance with state laws and regulations, while also delivering exceptional member service through proactive communication and emotional intelligence. In this position, you will utilize digital tools to evaluate and appraise moderately complex auto claims, ensuring adherence to corporate guidelines and state laws. You will be responsible for investigating claim damages, which may involve communicating with insured parties and third-party vendors. Your role may also require face-to-face interactions with members and third parties. You will review the facts of loss and vehicle damage to identify potential subrogation opportunities and maintain accurate claim file documentation throughout the claims process. This includes mapping repair plans and timelines, as well as reviewing additional damages from repair facilities. Moreover, you will explain coverage to policyholders, assist them with information on repairs, and describe the settlement process while setting appropriate expectations. You will issue settlement amounts for damages claimed and support workload surges or Catastrophe Operations as needed. It is essential to ensure that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Responsibilities
? Investigate, evaluate, and appraise vehicle damage claims for both repairable and total loss vehicles.

? Utilize digital tools to evaluate and appraise moderately complex auto claims in accordance with corporate guidelines and state laws.

? Communicate with insured parties and third-party vendors to investigate claim damages.

? Review facts of loss and vehicle damage to determine subrogation opportunities and make timely referrals.

? Demonstrate knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services, contracts, and internal processes to ensure compliance.

? Review claims for fraud indicators and refer to the Special Investigative Unit if applicable.
,
? Maintain accurate and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
,
? Map repair plans and timelines for vehicle repairs.
,
? Review additional damages from repair facilities to complete supplements or triage inspections.
,
? Explain coverage and assist policyholders with information on repairs and the settlement process.
,
? Issue settlement amounts for damages claimed.
,
? Support workload surges and/or Catastrophe Operations as needed, which may involve extended hours.

? Identify, measure, monitor, and control risks associated with business activities in accordance with policies and procedures.

Requirements
? High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
,
? 1 year of auto appraising experience.
,
? Knowledge of P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages, auto parts distribution process, and claim appraisal process and procedures.
,
? Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days.

Nice-to-haves
? At least 3 years of Body Shop Experience.

? At least 3 years of Insurance Auto Physical Damage Appraiser experience.
