Paid Time Off:

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Manager, Strategic Pricing & Analytics is responsible for overseeing the development of models and financial analyses of proposed contract rates for ambulatory surgery center ("ASC") payer contract negotiations. The position will report to the Senior Director, Strategic Pricing and Analytics and work closely with the managed care contractors and cross-functional internal departments to model health plan proposals and other contract language. This role may supervise Analyst resource(s).

WORK SCHEDULE:

This role is offered on a fully remote basis allowing the Manager, Strategic Pricing & Analytics to be based anywhere in the country.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: ? Will work extensively with the Health Plan Relations and Business Development teams to support analytics across all AMSURG ASCs. ? Assist with analysis of price benchmarking and price transparency data sets to support the development and execution of Business Development and Health Plan Relations strategic objectives. ? Oversee and lead the analysis of current and proposed contracted rates to support payer negotiations using a variety of business intelligence tools and platforms, including but not limited to MS Excel, SQL, and reporting tools such as Power BI. ? Build, develop, and maintain models that support the managed care contracting team. ? Oversee the execution of ad-hoc reimbursement analyses or other custom analytics as requested by leadership to drive strategic decision making. ? Lead and collaborate on cross-functional projects using advanced data modeling and analysis techniques to achieve enterprise-level strategic objectives. ? Develop and implement quality controls for modeling. ? Ensure accuracy of data and deliverables of direct reports. ? Manage and optimize processes for data intake and validation for modeling and communication deliverables. ? Manage and complete the analysis of large, complex data sets, including price transparency data. ? Review, interpret, and analyze managed care contracts, payer fee schedules, and grouper crosswalks. ? Support the Business Development team as needed in estimating pro forma top-line financials. ? Occasional overnight travel as needed. ? Manage and support the development of Analyst(s) as needed. ? KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Hard Skills:
? Expertise in healthcare industry, managed care contracts, reimbursement methodologies, and pricing strategies in the ASC space.
? Track record of strong critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
? Fluency in Microsoft Office applications with advanced Excel skills required; strong Microsoft Office, Access, relational databases, and reporting tools a plus.
? Ability to build and audit complex Excel-based financial models, analyze data, and translate analyses into specific, targeted actions to drive results.
? Expertise working with complex and large volumes of data.
? Demonstrated ability to design, develop, and implement routine and custom reporting.
? Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with C-suite and executive leadership (i.e., packaging and presenting nuanced and detailed information, fielding and responding to questions across the organization, etc.).
? Excellence in delivering projects on-time and with the desired results through a structured project management approach (e.g., time, team, work-stream management).
? Willingness to assume responsibility for communication and execution of corporate initiatives.
? Experience managing one or more direct reports.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
? Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in finance, accounting, or healthcare administration.
? 5-7+ years of experience in healthcare analytics, focused on managed care contract modeling or 4+ years of ASC-specific payer contract modeling.
? Working knowledge of facility reimbursement methodologies for ASCs, with experience modeling and analyzing professional/physician rates and/or anesthesia services and understanding of value-based contracts.
? Experience leading a team of one or more Analysts preferred.
