Job: Power System Engineer

Location: Remote

Responsibilities: ? Provide engineering support for pre-construction activities, including EPC processes and preparation of standardized terms and conditions. ? Lead engineering efforts for energy storage construction projects, ensuring compliance with project specifications and coordinating workflows. ? Support the development and engineering of new market energy storage assets. ? Optimize energy storage system parameters and equipment configurations based on market use profiles and cost targets. ? Review and approve preliminary site plans in accordance with local codes and standards. ? Enhance standard technical specifications to guide quality measures, supplier requirements, design standards, and operational features. ? Establish and maintain relationships with key technology suppliers, support contract negotiations, and build partnerships. ? Conduct technology research, including tracking technology roadmaps, forecasting price and performance, and communicating findings internally. ? Maintain a network of third-party technical service providers and engineering partners. ? Oversee the commissioning process in coordination with storage operations colleagues. ? Create contract documents, specifications, and standard templates. ? Travel periodically for permitting, AHJ meetings, and team meetings.

Qualifications: ? Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university. ? At least 5 years of experience in engineering and installation of energy storage and/or renewable energy systems. ? Experience with power conversion systems and various energy storage technologies, particularly lithium-ion chemistries. ? Understanding of U.S. national codes related to energy storage systems. ? Strong communication skills, including clear writing and presentations. ? Independent self-starter with the ability to lead projects and work within a diverse team.
