About the position

The Mortgage Loan Processor position at First United Bank and Trust is primarily responsible for processing duties related to assigned mortgage loans generated by the bank's employees. This role is crucial in ensuring that all loan files are handled efficiently and in compliance with established guidelines. The processor will perform duties for loans originated from various locations throughout the company and from different Mortgage Consultants, providing excellent customer service to both borrowers and internal customers. The processor will check reports and follow up on assigned loans, ensuring timely handling of all loan files while adhering to posted service levels. They will review and evaluate documentation for completeness, communicating directly with customers regarding loan status and any additional required documentation. Collaboration with loan officers, borrowers, and closers is essential to provide updates, address any issues with loan files, and ensure a smooth closing process. The completed loan files will be submitted for underwriting approval, and the processor will maintain accurate records of file progress using the current loan entry program. Additionally, the processor must understand and adhere to mandatory compliance guidelines, attending training as required. Other duties may include performing tasks as requested by Executive Management or Supervisors, completing compliance exams annually, and recommending improvements to departmental processes. The position requires a professional appearance and adherence to all First United Policies and Procedures.

Requirements
? High School diploma or GED required.

? Some secondary education preferred.
,
? Mortgage banking experience preferred.

? Proficient in Microsoft Office.

? Excellent phone etiquette.

? Ability to multi-task.
