Flutter Developer, Remote

About the position

Cognizant's Digital Engineering practice is seeking a skilled Flutter Developer to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of designing and implementing new app modules based on product requirements using the Flutter framework. Your expertise will be crucial in maintaining existing codebases and building reusable code and libraries for future use. You will also be responsible for integrating user-interface elements developed by other developers and building user interfaces designed by UI/UX designers. Additionally, you will work on the integration of data storage solutions and various third-party APIs, ensuring a seamless user experience. As a Flutter Developer, you will debug existing app components, fix issues, and prevent regressions. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with teams of UI/UX designers, project managers, quality assurance testers, and other developers. You will participate in software architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews, contributing to the overall optimization of applications for maximum speed and scalability. Responsibilities
? Design & implement new app modules based on the product requirements using Flutter framework

? Maintain existing codebases
,
? Build reusable code and libraries for future use
,
? Integrate user-interfaces elements developed by other developers
,
? Build user interfaces designed by UI/UX designers

? Integration of data storage solutions
,
? Integrate various APIs from third parties
,
? Debug existing apps components, fix issues and avoid regressions

? Collaborate closely with the teams of UI/UX designers, PMs, QAs, and other developers

? Participate in software architecture, design discussions and code reviews

? Optimize application for maximum speed and scalability

Requirements
? Proficient understanding of Flutter framework and Dart programming
,
? 1+ years of hands-on experience in cross-platform app development
,
? Proficiency with RESTful APIs and handling asynchronous data
,
? Experience with version control systems (Git) and CI/CD pipelines
,
? Familiarity with cloud services (AppSync/socket.io/AWS Cognito, Google Firebase platform)
,
? Good understanding of security flags implementation in mobile apps
,
? Experience with image optimization, proper session management, CDN usage, offline storage, threading, and performance tuning
,
? Understanding of Apple's and Android's design principles and interface guidelines
,
? Knowledge of latest design patterns like MVVM/MVP

Nice-to-haves
? Experience with native Android (Java/Kotlin) and iOS (Swift/Objective-C) development
