Warehouse Operations Supervisor

You will plays a crucial role in overseeing the daily operations of the distribution center, managing a team of employees, and ensuring smooth and efficient order fulfillment, inventory control, and adherence to company policies. You will supervise all aspects of labor management, train and mentor new employees, and continuously evaluate and improve processes to increase efficiency. Responsibilities: ? Coordinate daily activities within the distribution center, ensuring operational efficiency. ? Supervise staff and provide direction on order fulfillment, inventory management, material handling, and equipment usage. ? Prepare work schedules and address unexpected labor needs in a timely and effective maer. ? Manage labor hours and payroll using the electronic timekeeping system. ? Interview, train, and onboard new team members, ensuring they are well-prepared for their roles. ? Develop and evaluate employee performance, rewarding accomplishments and addressing concerns or complaints. ? Align team efforts with performance goals, ensuring productivity and quality standards are met. ? Suggest and implement process improvements to optimize warehouse operations. ? Review inventory records for accuracy, compliance, and adequacy of stock levels. ? Ensure full compliance with company and customer policies, including safety regulations. ? Organize work for special and periodic inventory checks. ? Trace discrepancies in inventory and stock control records, and recommend corrective actions. ? Assign and review duties to ensure adherence to policies, ISO9002 procedures, and work quality. ? Study and standardize warehouse procedures to enhance team efficiency. ? Prepare reports for leadership, tracking performance, and progress on key initiatives. ? Assist in maintaining the physical condition of the warehouse. ? Submit billing to customer services as needed. ? Ensure that all warehouse operations follow organizational policies and applicable laws. ? For food-related accounts, report food safety issues to senior management for prompt action. ? Perform other duties as required by management.
Qualifications and Experience:
? High school diploma or GED required.
? Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
? 1 year of supervisory experience preferred.
? Experience operating warehouse equipment and familiarity with warehouse management systems.
? Knowledge of labor management systems.
? Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
? Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operational instructions, and procedures.
? Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
? Strong problem-solving skills and ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
