The Alumni Association and Foundation (AA&F) Accountant plays a pivotal role in supporting the financial health and operations of Salem State University. This position involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including the AA&F's Treasurer, Investment Committee, external accounting firms, and financial institutions, while building relationships across multiple university departments. The AA&F Accountant is responsible for financial management, accounting requirements, and maintaining financial records and databases, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data and supporting continuous improvement efforts.
Responsibilities
? Assist with financial management and accounting requirements for the AA&F.

? Maintain financial records and databases.

? Collaborate with various stakeholders including the Treasurer and Investment Committee.

? Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and financial reporting standards.

? Support continuous improvement efforts within the financial operations of the AA&F.
Requirements
? Associate degree with a major in accounting, business administration, or business management with a concentration in accounting.

? Four years of experience in the accounting field, including experience with fund accounting standards and procedures.

? Experience with investment management principles, preferably in a non-profit 501(c)3 organization.

? Working knowledge of budget planning and data management.
