About the position

The Assistant Claims Manager at HomeSafe Alliance is responsible for overseeing claims management related to military household goods moves. This remote position focuses on ensuring that claim settlements meet customer expectations while adhering to regulatory and company standards. The role involves managing large claims, addressing customer disputes, and promoting process improvements to enhance claims service.

Responsibilities
? Perform and monitor claim adjudication and subrogation to ensure claim timelines are met and repayments are recovered quickly.

? Address and file claims with agents, insurance companies, or military offices to ensure prompt recovery of claim expenses.

? Collaborate with the Director of Claims and Claims Managers to address concerns or issues.
,
? Train new hires as necessary.
,
? Monitor workflows and identify necessary improvements.
,
? Review claim settlements and subrogations when disputes escalate to ensure proper practices are followed.
,
? Work with service providers and other liable parties to resolve disputes on claim settlements.
,
? Analyze, process, and settle incoming Military Claim Office demands, ensuring proper practices are followed.
,
? Address areas of improvement with Claims Adjusters and involve Claims Manager and Director of Claims when necessary.
,
? Manage and monitor large loss and catastrophic situations, ensuring urgent matters receive attention.
,
? Approve claim payables and receivables as necessary.
,
? Analyze, process, and settle claims in accordance with company policies and DoD regulations.
,
? Perform other job-related duties as needed.

Requirements
? Undergraduate Degree in Business or related field preferred.
,
? Minimum 3-4 years of personal property claims adjusting experience preferred.
,
? Prior experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
,
? Experience assessing employee productivity and providing constructive feedback and coaching.
,
? Must be a U.S. citizen due to contractual requirements.
,
? Excellent oral and written communication skills.
,
? Proficient in MS Office: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
,
? Detail-oriented with superior organizational and strong time management skills.
