The Hartford is seeking a Property Claims Adjuster II to join our team, where we are committed to making a difference beyond just coverages and policies. As a Property Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for investigating, managing, and settling claims related to emergency mitigation, biohazard, asbestos/lead, and mold billing. You will collaborate with other claims adjusters to ensure that all mitigation work meets quality and compliance standards while adhering to vendor agreements. Depending on your home location, this position may offer a virtual or hybrid in-office work arrangement. In this role, you will manage claim files by handling assigned emergency mitigation and mold damages in accordance with corporate claim policies, statutory regulations, and business unit goals. This includes maintaining contact with vendors, managing files to timely resolution, verifying charges, and ensuring data integrity. You will also be expected to develop technical and jurisdictional expertise, which includes knowledge of independent adjusters, contractors, and vendors. Providing exceptional customer service is a key aspect of this position, as you will need to establish and maintain effective relationships with customers, demonstrating professionalism and credibility in all interactions. Additionally, you will utilize your business acumen and technical expertise to manage claims accurately, employing critical thinking skills to gather information and make sound decisions. Fostering teamwork and inclusion is essential, as you will support a team environment where individual differences are valued. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of one year of property claim handling experience, including proficiency in Xactimate estimating, and will be required to obtain and maintain a State Adjuster's License to process Property & Casualty Insurance Claims in the supported states. This role can be performed in a hybrid or remote work arrangement, with specific internet requirements for remote work.
Responsibilities

? Verify charges and ensure all data integrity components are complete.

? Develop technical and jurisdictional expertise, including knowledge of independent adjusters, contractors, and vendors.

Requirements
? Minimum of 1 year property claim handling experience; 3 years preferred.

? WRT and ASD certification required; AMRT certification preferred.

? Demonstrated high level of performance in current or past roles.

? Xactimate Certification is a plus.
,
? Proficient in preparing and evaluating structural damage estimates in Xactimate on moderate complexity personal property losses.

? Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, including investigation, decision making, and conflict resolution.
