Intern, Provider Relations (Must reside in Utah)

The Molina Healthcare Internship Program aims to provide students with a steppingstone into the healthcare business profession. Interns will engage in special projects and various duties designed to offer valuable professional work experience and industry insight, while also developing their skills through experiential learning and formal training. This internship will allow students to work alongside talented professionals, gaining insight into Molina's culture, mission, and values.
Responsibilities
? Learn Molina business and protocol for provider network administration, including service and contracting.
,
? Learn network management tools such as Quest and QNXT platforms for network adequacy and oversight of provider network data.
,
? Work closely with team and management to ensure adherence to system maintenance and regulatory requirements.
,
? Support the contracting lifecycle by participating in negotiations as support staff, reviewing contracts, and analyzing PADU terms.
,
? Support provider meetings and preparation, including Joint Operating Committees (JOC's).
Requirements
? Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program as a freshman or sophomore with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher.

? Pursuing a Bachelor's degree with preference in Healthcare Administration or Management, Business Administration, Health Informatics, or Public Administration.

? Possess clear and professional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
,
? Strong work ethic, self-motivated, and ability to develop relationships.
,
? Good time management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
,
? Computer experience including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, along with experience in internet research.
,
? Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
,
? Ability to handle confidential information and maintain confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
