Responsibilities
? Work independently to accurately evaluate information received in the Claims Department and record liabilities in a timely manner

? Verify data in life index and from the policy database for new claim notifications
,
? Determine total exposure on a ceded life policy by executing and evaluating appropriate reports, including retro coverage
,
? Verify claimant information against the OFAC database and ensure appropriate reporting of liabilities by confirming receipt of premium
,
? Evaluate appropriate category and triage action needed on incoming mail and requests
,
? Support continued improvement by recommending identified process efficiencies and in ongoing training and mentorship of claims examiners.
Requirements
? Knowledge of insurance and a general understanding of reinsurance required

? Strong verbal and written communication skills

? Excellent data analysis and organizational skills
,
? Demonstrate and utilize effective problem-solving skills and proactive critical thinking skills
,
? Willingness to complete industry related courses and attend educational seminars as deemed appropriate by management.
