We are actively searching for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our esteemed team as a Health Care Facility Surveyor. Key Responsibilities
? Conduct thorough on-site evaluations of a wide range of healthcare facilities, including long-term care, ambulatory surgical centers, and hospitals.
? Assess all dimensions of facility operations, encompassing quality of care, patient rights, and physical plant conditions.
? Review documentation, observe care practices, and engage in interviews with staff and residents/patients.
? Identify and document any non-compliance issues concerning federal regulations.
? Clearly communicate findings to facility personnel during site visits and exit meetings.
? Evaluate submitted plans of correction for acceptability and conduct follow-up visits to ensure corrective actions are implemented.
? Contribute to the development and delivery of training programs for both facilities and colleagues.
? Participate actively in work groups and special projects as needed.
Required Skills
? A valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
? Completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training and successful passing of the Surveyor Minimum Qualifications Test (SMQT).
? Minimum of two years of recent experience in surveying, accrediting, or certifying facilities serving long-term care residents.
? Strong clinical assessment abilities and a comprehensive understanding of healthcare regulations.
? Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
? Capability to make independent judgments and efficiently manage the survey process.
? Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on task prioritization.
? Willingness to travel up to 75% of the time.
Qualifications
? Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
? Successful completion of CMS's Long-Term Care Basic Training.
