Position Purpose: The Executive Vice President of Compliance must believe in, practice, and initiate all Green Brick Partners values set forth in an acronym we call HOME. They must be Honest, Objective, Mature and Efficient in how they approach their role at Green Brick Partners.
We are seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Executive Vice President (EVP) of Compliance to lead our compliance efforts and ensure our operations adhere to regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the mortgage industry, extensive knowledge of federal and state regulations, and a proven track record of developing and implementing effective compliance programs.
Responsibilities
? Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive compliance programs to ensure adherence to federal and state regulations.
? Monitor and assess the company's compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
? Lead and manage the compliance team, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure high performance and professional growth.
? Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential compliance issues.
? Collaborate with senior management to establish and maintain a culture of compliance throughout the organization.
? Stay current with changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends, and update company policies and procedures accordingly.
? Communicate effectively with regulatory agencies, internal stakeholders, and external partners regarding compliance matters.
? Provide regular reports to the executive team and board of directors on the status of the company's compliance program.

Authority/Budget/Decision Making/Discretion and Independent Judgment Ability:
Utilizes discretion, judgment, and high-level analytical skills to interpret complex situations.
Qualifications
Education:
? Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
Competencies:
? In-depth knowledge of federal and state mortgage regulations, including RESPA, TILA, ECOA, HMDA, and CFPB guidelines.
? Proven ability to develop and implement effective compliance programs and policies.
? Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy.
? Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build consensus at all levels of the organization.
? Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
? Professional certifications such as CRCM, CCEP, or similar are highly desirable.
Experience:
? Minimum of 10 years of experience in compliance within the mortgage industry, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.

Physical Requirements: Ability to stand and walk for 4 hours straight or up to a full 8-hour day; sit for extended periods; kneel and bend at the waist; walk up and down stairs; walk on unlevel terrain; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear. Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision ability required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and peripheral vision.
