Job Summary

Identify opportunities for greater efficiencies through process improvement, systems integration and assist in the implementation of these solutions. Develop, administer, maintain and/or implement database designs, data access, and end user documentation.

Duties include but are not limited to:

Provide ongoing maintenance and support for installed applications.

Write documentation for systems in assigned area to support users during installations, modification and upgrades in accordance with RCOM standard practices.

Conduct problem analysis for IT&S applications/modules

Document changes requests and reported problems along with communicating results of remedial action taken.

Write detailed specifications for programming requests and system interfaces.

Ensure appropriate facility/market testing of enhancements prior to installation.

Provide and/or coordinate training and support for staff in applications developed

Supports departments in retrieving and organizing the necessary data for reporting.

Designs and implements databases in SQL server and utilize SQL Server stored procedures and views for data transformation and enforcement of data rules.

Analyzes database performance, identifies and supplies strategies for optimization.

Develops, maintains and monitors processess to import, export and manage data through SQL Server SSIS, EDW, Teredata, DB2, and local web applications.

Assist business partners with SQL query reviews and optimization.

Develop and provide ad hoc reports.

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Communicates clearly and concisely, verbally and in writing. This includes utilizing proper punctuation, correct spelling and the ability to transcribe accurately.

Establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships, building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations

Able to work effectively with other employees, patients and external parties

Demonstrates proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and others as required

Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of organizational policies, procedures and systems

Able to perform basic mathematical calculations, balance and reconcile figures, punctuate properly, spell correctly and transcribe accurately.

Strong technical skills and knowledge of SQL, EDW, Business Objects, SQL and/or relational databases.

Education

Bachelor?s Degree in Information Management or related field preferred.

Continuing education in data processing related fields preferred.

Equivalent work experience may substitute degree requirement

Experience

At least 1 year progressive data processing experience.

Minimum 3+ years of relevant SQL database management.

Experience with Columbia/HCA systems preferred.

Healthcare systems experience preferred.

Relevant education may substitute experience requirement.
