In this role you will have an opportunity to lead, implement, and champion change and improvements, while supporting and providing guidance to tax partners. You will support and ensure accurate and timely processing of all daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly business processes for the payroll tax team. You will lead a team of tax professionals through our US and Canada year-end project plans, supporting the balancing and processing of over 450K partner annual tax statements for all of North America.

As a Starbucks tax supervisor, you will?
? Enjoy leading a collaborative team : Support our team of qualified tax accountant professionals, where you will coach on tasks/processes, focusing on opportunities to drive the business forward, while also directing the daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual tax tasks including tax payment requests, tax returns, and tax reporting for over 450+ partners in all 50 states, locals, and 11 Provinces in Canada.
? Support projects and larger company/business initiatives: Lead/represent our team in large projects and initiatives that will impact and enhance our team?s business processes, as well as to ensure all cross-functional business impacts are being considered as well. Implement new processes with the team to support all ongoing changes to tax compliance requirements and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies. Provide viable suggestions for complex issues for the team and broader stakeholders. Lead and champion enhancements to key tax policies by solutions for and applying policy adjustments. Implement recommendations based on industry trends and assist with bringing the rest of the team along.
? Analyze, research, and reconcile data: Support all tax-related audits and reconciliations for partner data and payroll/tax results. Determine the effectiveness of data and controls and implement changes to ensure compliance. support the team?s workflow. Establish new processes with the team to support all ongoing changes to tax compliance requirements and identify opportunities to improve efficiencies.

We?d love to hear from people with:
? Experience in leading/directing shared work in a high-paced environment
? Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing
? Strong analytical, technical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
? Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel)
? Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
? Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
? Ability to also work independently
? Ability to convey complicated information in a logical manner
