This position can be a full-time remote position.
The Tier 1 Oncology Clinical Specialist (OCS) acts as a leader within the Clinical portfolio and throughout the organization, demonstrating clinical expertise to maintain the quality, accuracy and relevance of content with ONS resources. Provides insight on the adoption and integration of ONS resources within hospital systems, advocates for the clinical membership and informs the strategy behind ONS resources and products.
Responsibilities
? Evaluates, updates and maintains existing ONS educational resources utilizing evidence from research, current practice procedures and trends in oncology practice. Works with ONS project teams to maintain clinical accuracy and relevance of existing courses and educational resources.
? Guides clinical practice through dissemination of clinical knowledge and serving as a subject matter expert. Ensures content and supporting images are of clinical relevance and accuracy. Contributes to the development and revision of ONS programs, products, standards, guidelines and point of care resources by acting as clinical expert and advocate for oncology nurses.
? Acts as a Unit Nurse Planner to ensure that continuing education programs within the accredited provider unit meet the operational requirements and educational design criteria of the American Nurses Credentialing Center?s Commission on Accreditation (ANCC) and the Nursing Professional Development: Scope and Standards of Practice. Ensures adherence to ONS Commercial Support policies.
? Engages with ONS members through virtual community platform and provides analysis of member needs through community trend reviews. Offers ONS resources of relevance that address needs of community posts. Communications opportunities for ONS content curation with Clinical and Business Development teams.
? Performs quantitative and qualitative analyses of programming and systems and products to evaluate alignment with the project plan, customer needs, and business requirements. Ensures the development of accurate documentation and identifies solutions for improvement.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in nursing required; Master?s degree in nursing preferred; ONCC certification preferred. 5-7 years of current clinical oncology experience, trend analysis and knowledge of evidence-based practice models required. Experience in nursing education and programming prioritized.
