About the position

As a Senior Data Analytics - National Unit Cost, you will play a crucial role in delivering robust competitive unit cost data solutions and insights that will be leveraged in negotiations, particularly focusing on Transparency data. This position requires a highly technical and analytical individual with strong coding skills who will manage and triage the technical aspects of data, perform analytics, and communicate effectively with team members and matrix partners regarding relevant issues, findings, insights, and tool solutions and enhancements. You will be responsible for building competitive tools and reporting to support Local Market Affordability initiatives, national competitive initiatives, and Contracting strategies, ensuring that competitive information is accurately portrayed and can be utilized alongside other competitive data points in the competitive unit cost triangulation process. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work within a highly matrixed organization, demonstrating teamwork and a collaborative spirit. Your main duties will include working closely with department members and matrix partners to identify and define opportunities for creating, leading, building out, and delivering actionable competitive unit cost insights. You will collaborate with data and model development teams to develop predictive analytics that enable informed decision-making. Utilizing appropriate tools, you will transform, clean, and review data, analyzing it to outline findings and derive meaningful insights. Maintaining a productive relationship with IT and Global Data & Analytics partners is essential, as is supporting management in long-term strategy and priority definition. You will also be involved in special projects and other initiatives as required, contributing to the overall success of the organization.

Responsibilities
? Work within department and with matrix partners to determine & define opportunities to create, lead, build out & deliver solutions on actionable competitive unit cost insights.

? Collaborate closely with data & model development to develop predictive analytics to enable decision making.

? Use appropriate tools to transform, clean up, and review data.

? Analyze data to clearly outline findings, derive accurate results and meaningful insights.
,
? Take logical steps/initiatives to make any improvement on assigned tasks.
,
? Maintain a close, productive and collaborative relationship with IT and Global Data & Analytics partners.
,
? Support management in the long-term strategy and defining of priorities.
,
? Engage in special projects & other initiatives as required.

Requirements
? 5+ years experience in analyzing and interpreting both qualitative and quantitative provider data.
,
? Ability to clearly and effectively convey findings, results and insights in emails and present in meetings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
,
? Self-starter with excellent analytical, technical, project management, interpersonal, communication & customer service skills in a matrix organization.
,
? Deep familiarity with health insurance data, including contract structure and methodologies, claims, eligibility, provider and benefit data.
,
? 5+ years of experience in the use of Relational Database Concepts and Applications, specifically use of MS Access, SAS, SQL, Excel and other relevant software applications.

? Experience with SQL coding in data extraction, cleaning, transformation and analysis, specifically the ability to write programs to perform queries on data and retrieve data from multiple tables/sources with SQL and SAS.

? Experience in Python coding, preferred.

? Business Intelligence (BI) Tools skills and experience, strongly preferred.
,
? Experience working with Analytics Platform (AP) and Amazon Web Service (AWS), strongly preferred.

? Ability to work productively in an environment that requires constant development of technical data skill sets.
,
? Experience working with IT and matrix partners to build business requirements for a new tool or application, create the new tool or application, test and make needed enhancements, roll out new tool or application as needed.

? Strong understanding of Provider Contracting & contract negotiations.
,
? In-depth understanding of managed care business processes, data, systems, reimbursement methodology, case-mix adjustment, and applications for claims payment, providers, and utilization management.
,
? Ability to prioritize among multiple tasks, manage working items effectively, meet deadlines and deliver high-quality results.
,
? Fast learner and ability to learn new skills as needed.
,
? Bachelor's Degree highly preferred.
