The Regional Sales Manager plays a vital role in growing and maintaining sales in their territory. RSM?s priority is to expand the company?s sales, presence, and brand awareness in a profitable manner within the territory and achieve set sales goals. The RSM is responsible for managing relationships with food service distributors and direct customers as well as establishing and growing end user relationships including chefs, mixologists, and purchasers.
The employee responsibilities include but not limited to:
1. Analyze the territory, its participants, trends, and actively contribute to the market intelligence/benchmarking process.
2. Analyze the company?s turnover, quantities sold and profitability. Prepare annual sales budgets and marketing plans and implement budgets with distributors, direct customers and end users.
3. Manage existing distributor relationships while identifying new potential distributors in territory. Conduct distributor business reviews as outlined in the sales calendar.
4. Train, manage and motivate distributor sales teams to grow existing accounts and open new accounts to achieve sales goals.
5. Build and maintain end user customer relationships. Develop new relationships through research, prospecting, and industry networking.
6. Work with the sales and marketing team to develop, organize, and execute promotional and technical events in the territory for all customer categories.
7. Utilize CRM platform with distributor and end user visits and events in territory.
8. Communicate with accounting and customer service teams to ensure all customer balances are current. Implement agreed upon steps in case of past due payments.
9. Promote a positive brand image at all times.
Travel requirements:
? Domestic and international travel requirements 40%
? Must be able to travel to various off-site locations.
? Must be available to work occasional weekends and evenings when participating in company trade or vendor shows; or customer-related events.
Qualifications and Skills:
? Bachelors degree or minimum 5 years of relative sales experience.
? 5 years sales experience in food or beverage sales.
? Proven track record in prospecting customers and converting sales.
? Strong analytical and presentation skills.
? Excellent interpersonal skills
? Initiative-taking, action oriented, and results-oriented
? Critical Thinking: anticipate challenges and navigate complexity
? Creativity and problem-solving abilities, able to work under tight deadlines
? Proficient knowledge of MS office tools, Salesforce or similar CRM platform experience preferred.

SALARY RANGE: $90,000- $100,000 base salary plus 30% discretionary bonus
