Zurich is currently looking for a RCIS Crop Claims Field Adjuster I to join our Rural Community Insurance Services (RCIS) team. RCIS is one of the leading crop insurance providers in the U.S., offering insurance protection in all 50 states through a national network of about 3,600 licensed agents. The Crop Adjuster will work out of California, primarily servicing the area from Merced County south to the Southern California border. This position is home-based and requires approximately 50% travel to cover the designated territory. The ideal candidate will be expected to complete field inspections, perform fact-finding regarding crop damage, and provide excellent service to both agents and policyholders. The role involves utilizing company software to transmit claims information directly from the field to ensure timely processing. The Crop Adjuster will also need to adhere to regulatory and company policies while performing their duties. Responsibilities
? Complete field inspections and related responsibilities such as reading maps and aerial photos, measuring field and storage bins, and discussing findings of crop loss with farmers.

? Perform fact finding regarding crop damage; record information and transmit loss information to accurately determine potential damages.

? Provide excellent service to our customers - both agents and policyholders (farmers).

? Utilize company software to electronically transmit claims information directly from the field to RCIS to ensure claims are processed timely and accurately.

? Follow regulatory and company rules, policies, and procedures.
Requirements
? High School Diploma or Equivalent and 4 or more years of experience in the agricultural or the crop insurance industry.

? Crop Adjuster Proficiency Program (CAPP) Certification must be obtained within 180 days of hire date.

? Personal transportation and travel within assigned territory and travel outside of assigned area to assist with workload(s), participate on CAT team and/or provide remote assistance for the CROP Claims Care Center calls and/or CCP Claims.

? Ability to walk in agricultural fields up to 3 miles, climb agricultural storage bins up to 25 feet, lift 25 lbs to 50 lbs, and work outdoors in varying temperatures/weather conditions.
