This is a hybrid-remote position - incumbents, who reside in Oregon or Washington only, may work 2-3 days a week at location, and other days may work remotely at home, on the road or in a satellite location for the remainder of their workweek.

All new hires are required to come to a designated Legacy Health office location in Portland, Oregon prior to their start date for a new hire health assessment and to complete new hire paperwork.

Note that our employee health plan coverage is for providers based in the Legacy Health geographic region. To find providers in our network . Urgent and emergent coverage is available outside the geographic region and telehealth is available within Oregon and Washington.

This position may require initial training and orientation to be site-based, before transitioning to the hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

The Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Instructional Designer is a key driver in the ongoing development and implementation of Legacy?s systemwide diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy to diversify our workforce and reduce the health disparities that exist between patient populations.

Uses knowledge of adult learning theories and practices, along with expertise in educational technology tools, to design learning programs and classes, instructional materials, internal communications and eLearning for clinical and non-clinical employees. Partners with subject matter experts to create effective and engaging learning experiences that support Legacy?s systemwide diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy and its aspiration to be an anti-racist organization. They will also work on ad hoc projects and internal communications assignments that may include presentations or other materials for department, division, or organizational senior leaders.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor?s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Education, Educational Technology, Human Resources Development (HRD), Organizational Development (OD), or closely related field required. Certificates or technical training in eLearning tools preferred.

Experience:

Minimum three years instructional design experience in large complex organization. Has experience working across multiple instructional delivery modalities to create high-quality learning experiences for diverse learners. Healthcare experience preferred, but not required.

Skills:

Highly creative, driven, collaborative, and passionate about the principles of DEI and committed to championing its practices.

Knowledge of adult learning theory and learning design methodologies, including understanding of designing accessible content using Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1)

Collaboratively lead the design and delivery of engaging and impactful DEI learning experiences for diverse employee populations and leadership levels.

Skilled in using ADDIE, SAM or similar adult learning instructional design process.

Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft 365 and other presentation software.

Demonstrated expertise in eLearning authoring tools such as Captivate, Articulate, Storyline and Camtasia, in addition to experience using html.

Working knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, Teams, OneNote, and OneDrive

Working knowledge of learning management systems.

Collaborator with a track record of providing excellent customer service

Able to work both independently and interdependently

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

High producer with proven ability to manage/track multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Strong writing, editing and communication skills.

Adept at learning new technology and adapting to change.
