We???re looking for an amazing Procurement Specialist to fill this role. You???ll be responsible for partnering and supporting cross-functional stakeholder teams and working with vendors and expediting teams to ensure all items are delivered and that all purchase orders have correct pricing and conversions. This position will monitor suppliers??? performance through KPIs, manage their relationship and systematically communicate expectations and performance, resolve escalated supplier issues. The successful candidate will solve problems without the constant direction of the Strategic Procurement team, learns and grows on categories assigned, works well in a team environment, and has the ability to trace and manage his/her projects through completion. The job is tactical and focused on getting critical items to our vessels in a short amount of time.

Responsibilities


  • Execution of an effective tactical sourcing plan for assigned projects or categories that creates long term value while meeting brand objectives

  • Develops and negotiates spot purchases required for special requests or last-minute shorts. Identify opportunities to reduce cost, improve efficiency and manage risk through recommendations and targeted negotiations

  • Initiate Requests for quotations, proposals and receives same, analyzing proposed pricing from potential suppliers

  • Manage performance of purchase orders, ensures compliance with all public law requirements as well as company and business policies and procedures including import/export regulations

  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure specifications are appropriate for the services or products required. Develops new solutions to various tactical challenges HA Group services faces as it relates to procuring product, supplier and distribution center relations.

  • Negotiate prices and quantities ordered based upon internal customer orders, economic order point (volume discount vs. efficient utilization of warehousing space), promotion of product, and overall market conditions

  • Effective Supplier Relationship Management driving supplier results; leveraging data, metrics, and internal feedback

  • Manage key suppliers to strengthen relationship while ensuring continuity of supply and reducing business risks

Requirements

  • Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, Economics, Hospitality, and/or Science, Agriculture required. Procurement experience within cruise industry is preferred

  • Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience preferred in cruise lines

  • Ability to work independently, lead projects of low complexity and influence in a cross-functional team environment

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and work under pressure, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy

  • Good analytical skills: Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully, model information in Excel, financial analysis, draw conclusions from data

  • Negotiation skills and practices preferred

  • Proficient in the use of computer business applications

  • Proficiency in the procurement process, including but not limited to - price analysis, negotiations, policies and procedures

  • Experience with Crunchtime highly preferred.

  • Ability to make quick decisions following policies and processes

  • Communication and engagement with manager and team is key

  • Base Salary Range: $51,400.00 to $69,400.00. The range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
