Description: Performs highly advanced procedures to ensure the security of all Information Technology (IT) assets, resources, and data to protect all systems, networks, and applications. Documents, assists with managing the IT security policy and standards, and assists with security operation efforts.
The Governance, Risk, & Compliance (GRC) Analyst is a mid-level position in the Pitt Information Technology (Pitt IT) Security department. This requires knowledge and experience in risk management, regulatory compliance, security risk assessments or audit, security policies and contracts, and user guidance. The GRC Analyst will understand and assess security, confidentiality, privacy, and operational risks related to internal systems, cloud solutions including AWS and Azure/GCC-High, and third-party provided products and services. Assessments and controls include those relevant to laws, regulations, and industry security standards, including TPRM, NIST SP 800-171/CUI, HIPAA, PCI, FERPA, and GLBA. This position requires excellent analytic and risk management skills, strong written and oral communication abilities, and a commitment to customer service. This position will represent the Security team on a variety of IT projects. Excellent organizational and time management skills are required. Like all Security team personnel, this position is required to respond to emergency security incidents as needed on a 24/7/365 basis.
