If you?re a consumer product leader and are passionate about finance or investing, this one's for you!<p><br></p><strong>Your Day at Yahoo Finance:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Collaborate with a cross-functional team that is spread out across the US and globally. Identify key business and user experience opportunities and drive consensus within a diverse team of stakeholders.</li><li>Leads design activities at the portfolio level, by identifying unique opportunities to apply skills to deliver business value</li><li>Creates partnerships across design disciplines and portfolios to avoid duplication and integrate experiences for customers</li><li>Advocates for skills required for the product and portfolio</li><li>Build a strong design culture within the greater product org by promoting design thinking to counterparts in Product and Engineering. Grow the design team through mentorship, visioning, and team development</li><li>Ensure work across the team is of the highest quality and the implemented products accurately reflect the product and design vision</li></ul><p><br></p><strong>About You:</strong><p><br></p><ul><li>Location Preference: Mountain View or surrounding areas - hybrid work environment </li><li>12+ years of cross-platform product design exp experience in the consumer products space</li><li>3+ years of experience managing and developing complex design teams</li><li>You are passionate and enthusiastic about leadership and the impact servant leaders can have on a designer's career. You have experience leading teams for multiple years and have coached high-performing, high-impact designers to success</li><li>Solid craftsmanship: skilled in both the theory and practice of design, up-to-date on design patterns, able to differentiate between trends and emerging best practices, familiar with user research methods, and a firm understanding of user-centered design and when to apply different tools and processes to achieve a great outcome</li><li>Enough professional experience that you thrive in the face of ambiguity and complexity and know how to get things done across a globally distributed environment. You have excellent communication skills across all mediums with the proven ability to influence a diverse set of stakeholders and executives. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
