Position: Vice President SBA / Commercial Real Estate Underwriter Remote Based

Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a Vice President SBA / Commercial (CRE) Underwriter to join our team. This is a full-time, remote position that offers the opportunity to work from anywhere in the United States. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in underwriting SBA and commercial real estate backed loans, as well as a proven track record of success in the financial services industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Underwrite SBA and commercial real estate backed loans in accordance with company and SBA policies and procedures

• Analyze financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine credit worthiness of loan applicants

• Prepare detailed credit memos and loan presentations for loan committee review

• Communicate with loan officers, borrowers, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and resolve any issues or concerns

• Stay current on industry trends, regulations, and guidelines related to SBA and commercial real estate lending

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and internal policies

• Participate in loan portfolio reviews and risk assessments

• Identify potential risks and make recommendations for mitigating them

• Collaborate with other departments, such as loan servicing and credit administration, to ensure smooth loan processing and servicing

• Represent the company in a professional and knowledgeable manner with clients, regulators, and industry partners

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in SBA and commercial real estate loan underwriting

• Strong understanding of SBA and commercial real estate lending regulations and guidelines

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and loan underwriting software

• Detail-oriented and able to maintain a high level of accuracy

• Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work well under pressure

• Experience working remotely is a plus
