This position of Business Strategy Analyst Lead is pivotal in utilizing both quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide thought-leadership on evolving industry trends, market developments, USAA's strategic direction, regulatory environment, and macroeconomic trends for the business unit. The role is designed to provide insights and context for key stakeholders, enabling them to optimally manage, influence, and impact line of business strategy. The Business Strategy Analyst Lead will lead discussions with key stakeholders to communicate findings from analyses, contribute to line of business strategy development, and drive business decisions. This includes leading the integration of analytic and business strategies, coordinating efforts to identify key business assumptions, and continuously refining hypotheses to explore further business questions. The analyst will develop analytical frameworks to address business questions related to the business portfolio, product, or member experience, while also collaborating with stakeholders to uncover complex strategic insights related to Profit & Loss performance across various domains such as Product Strategy, Pricing, Marketing, Sales, Credit Risk, Distribution Channels, and Member Experience. In this role, the analyst will apply expert analytical rigor to define outcome measures, improve prioritization, increase agility in decision-making, and evaluate risks to strategic goals. The position also involves serving as a team lead, providing guidance and on-the-job training to team members, and ensuring that risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

? Influence and drive strategic agreement utilizing subject matter expertise and interpersonal skills.

? Serve as a team lead and provide guidance and training to team members.

? Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled.

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics or related discipline; OR 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

? 8 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience; OR a minimum of 6 years of data and/or analytics or strategy consulting experience and up to 2 years of progressive functional business relevant experience for a total of 8 years of combined experience; OR advanced degree in Business, Science, Finance, Economics or related discipline and 6 years of experience in data and/or analytics or strategy consulting.

? Experience identifying business needs and developing strategic plans driven by qualitative/quantitative analysis and market insights.

? Experience working with leadership teams to identify key opportunities to enhance business strategy using analytics.

? Experience influencing business decisions.

? Strong analytical skills with experience using hypotheses-driven problem solving.

? Extensive experience leading and performing complex data analysis using various data analytics tools (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Tableau, R, Python, SQL, Snowflake, SAS, Adobe Analytics).
