As a field Sr. Auto Appraiser, you will play a crucial role in this mission by investigating, evaluating, and appraising vehicle damage claims for both repairable and total loss vehicles. This position is remote, serving the Savannah/Richmond Hill/Hinesville, GA area, and is designed for individuals who are committed to delivering exceptional member service. You will utilize digital tools to assess high complexity auto claims, ensuring compliance with corporate guidelines and state laws. Your responsibilities will include communicating with insured members and third parties, reviewing claims for fraud indicators, and maintaining accurate documentation throughout the claims process. You will also be expected to explain coverage, assist policyholders with information on repairs, and set appropriate expectations regarding the settlement process. This role may require face-to-face interactions and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Additionally, you will support workload surges and may serve as a permanent member of the APD Catastrophe team, ensuring that risks associated with business activities are effectively managed.
Responsibilities
? Evaluate and appraise high complexity auto claims using digital tools.

? Investigate claim damages by communicating with insured members and third parties.

? Review facts of loss and vehicle damage to identify subrogation opportunities.

? Demonstrate advanced knowledge of P&C insurance products and internal processes.

? Review claims for fraud indicators and refer to the Special Investigative Unit if necessary.

? Maintain accurate claim file documentation throughout the claims process.

? Review additional damages from repair facilities and triage as needed.

? Serve as a subject matter expert for disputed claims or trials.

? Partner with vendors and internal business partners for claims resolution.

? Explain coverage and assist policyholders with the settlement process.
Requirements
? High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.

? 2 years of auto appraising experience.
,
? Knowledge of P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages.
,
? Understanding of the auto parts distribution process and claim appraisal procedures.
,
? Ability to acquire and maintain an insurance adjuster license within 90 days.
