About the position

The EHR Systems Engineer at the University of Kentucky is responsible for the identification, design, and coordination of system operating and management reporting, as well as system analytics requirements. This role involves managing resources to develop and prioritize change requests, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and maintaining system design documentation. The engineer will troubleshoot issues, participate in team meetings, and contribute to testing and quality assurance processes, all while supporting the application deployment platforms for various operational needs.

Responsibilities
? Identify, design, and coordinate system operating and management reporting requirements.

? Manage resources to develop and prioritize change requests and task completion.

? Ensure build meets compliance and regulatory standards.

? Maintain all system design and build documents according to IT Service Management standards.
,
? Troubleshoot problems to maintain a defect-free environment.

? Participate in team meetings to discuss activities and updates.

? Contribute to testing scripts and perform testing tasks.

? Audit and perform quality assurance review of work products.

? Manage the installation of administrative and monitoring tools for EHR.

? Document and maintain performance metrics and troubleshoot issues.

Requirements
? Bachelor's degree in a related field.

? 5 years of related experience in a technical role.

? Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA) Certification required within one year of hire.

Nice-to-haves
? Epic Client System Administrator (ECSA) Certification (Core, MyChart, and CareEveryw).

? 2+ years of experience as ECSA.
