A leading Administrative Physician practice is seeking a qualified physician for the role of Inpatient Care Medical Director in Biloxi, MS. In this position, you will be responsible for overseeing inpatient care management, working closely with nurses and support staff to manage inpatient care utilization at various levels, including hospital, market, regional, or national. The role requires a strong understanding of data-driven care management, utilizing evidence-based medicine (EBM) to guide clinical staff and engage practicing physicians in discussions that promote optimal patient care. You will serve as a primary clinical educator and mentor, facilitating the achievement of patient care goals through direct support and guidance to nursing staff. As an ICM Medical Director, you will chair periodic market oversight meetings with Market Medical Directors, network contractors, and nurse management to address market-specific relationship issues and practice habit opportunities. Your work will be concentrated in a specific region, but you will also collaborate with peers and non-clinical employees across the country, contributing to a national organization focused on continuous improvement in response to customer needs and expectations. Responsibilities
? Lead a team of healthcare professionals in managing inpatient care utilization.

Requirements
? MD or DO degree
,
? Active, unrestricted medical license in Ohio
,
? Board Certified in an ABMS or AOBMS specialty
,
? 5+ years of clinical practice experience
,
? Intermediate or higher proficiency with managed care
,
? 2+ years of Quality Management experience
,
? Substantial experience using electronic clinical systems in a payer setting
,
? Sound knowledge of the managed care industry
,
? Strong belief in Evidence Based Medicine (EBM)
,
? High proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel
,
? Experience in data analysis and interpretation.
