Aya Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and skilled PCU Registered Nurse to join our team in Cartersville, GA. As a PCU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU), ensuring their comfort and safety while monitoring their vital signs and medical conditions. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans, administer medications, and perform various medical procedures as needed. This role requires a strong understanding of telemetry and the ability to interpret dysrhythmias, as well as experience in managing patients with complex medical needs, including those recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries. In this position, you will work three 12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, providing you with the opportunity to develop strong relationships with your patients and their families. Responsibilities
? Provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU).

? Monitor patients' vital signs and medical conditions, ensuring their comfort and safety.

? Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.

? Administer medications and perform various medical procedures as needed.

? Interpret telemetry readings and manage dysrhythmias effectively.

? Provide post-operative care for patients recovering from cardiac procedures and surgeries.

? Educate patients and their families about health conditions and care plans.
Requirements
? ACLS certification
,
? BLS certification
,
? NIH certification
,
? At least one year of experience in a similar role
,
? Strong skills in telemetry and interpretation of dysrhythmias
,
? Experience in managing patients with complex medical needs, including post-cardiac procedures and surgeries
,
? Ability to perform IV insulin protocols and manage insulin drips
,
? Experience with feeding tube care and management
,
? Knowledge of hemodialysis management and renal failure care
,
? Proficient in accessing ports and administering blood products
,
? Experience with central line and peripheral line care/management
,
? Ability to start IVs and manage heparin protocols
,
? Experience in managing cardiac and vasoactive drips
,
? Knowledge of post-neurosurgery care and traumatic brain injury management
,
? Familiarity with orthopedic trauma and total joint replacements
,
? Experience with surgical drains and chest tube management
,
? Knowledge of non-invasive airway management and tracheostomy care
,
? Understanding of isolation precautions and wound care.
