Portfolio Manager Lead - Fraud Model Management and Data Science

As a Portfolio Manager Lead, you will play a crucial role in governing CoSA, LOB, or USAA level portfolios, ensuring compliance with applicable policies, procedures, standards, controls, and regulations. You will partner with Executive Sponsors, Program Sponsors, business owners, and other stakeholders to align with strategic objectives and effectively prioritize, plan, budget, deliver, and realize benefits from work efforts. This position supports broader USAA portfolio management, technology investment planning, and coordinates with Program Managers on budget inputs and updates. You will also communicate the impact of saturation on employees and influence executive decision-making. In this role, you will be responsible for program management, resources, communication, process design and documentation, and change management within the Fraud Model Management and Data Science organization. You will oversee and track the performance of external vendor resources to support various Model Management and Data Science projects and deliverables. Additionally, you will coordinate and track performance of all regulatory compliance, audit, and other key issues requiring closure and remediation. You will assist in developing and reporting on metrics for the group in areas such as model health and model value, and generate high-quality monthly results to inform key partners of progress and issues on key programs. Your responsibilities will also include monitoring, governing, and being accountable for moderate to highly complex portfolios, completing governance routines per the Enterprise Program Management Office (EPMO) Policy, Standards, and Procedures. You will identify and recommend solutions for systemic cross-work risks/issues, ensure effective financial and resource management, and facilitate Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and reporting mechanisms. This position requires a flexible work environment, with the expectation to be in the office four days a week, while also allowing for remote work within the continental U.S. with occasional business travel.

? Develop and implement portfolio planning and influence prioritization of work efforts.

? Communicate portfolio statuses and changes regularly with key partners.

? Establish and manage the portfolio critical path by mapping out work effort scheduling and interdependencies.
Requirements
? Bachelor's degree or 4 years of related experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.

? 8 years of progressive project, program, or portfolio management experience.
,
? 2 years of experience supporting or managing across complex organizational lines in a Matrix structure.

? Advanced understanding of project, program, and portfolio management principles.
,
? Highly proficient in managing strategic and operational work efforts throughout the full life cycle.
,
? Demonstrated experience using Waterfall or Agile methodologies for portfolio management strategies.

? Currently possess at least one of the following: Certified Project Manager (CPM), Lean Portfolio Management Certification, Project Management Professional (PMP), or gain one within 6 months of placement.

? Proficient experience in USAA's change management methodology or similar.
