Software Engineer (Object Storage)

What you'll achieve

As a Software Engineer (Object Storage), you will build new and enhance existing capabilities of the scale-out object storage platform designed for both traditional and next-generation workloads with unmatched scalability, consistency guarantees, flexibility, and resiliency.


You will:

  • Develop highly complex, distributed components and services that constitute the Object Storage stack, with emphasis on quality and customer experience
  • Drive design and implementation of product features and improvements, working with the team to coordinate development efforts
  • Troubleshoot customer issues, support escalation engineers, and deliver rapid fixes to the field
  • Mentor and train teammates

Essential Requirements

  • 8+ years of programming experience in Java or GoLang with a focus on networking, multithreading, and memory management with an Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Solid fundamentals in data structures and algorithms
  • Hands on experience with Linux
  • Deep understanding of distributed systems and large-scale software architectures
  • Experience designing complex product technologies and initiatives from concept through release


Desirable Requirements

  • Knowledge and hands on experience with container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS S3 API
