<p><b>Location: LG or US Remote only.</b></p><p><br></p><p><b style="font-size: 24px">Description</b></p><p><span style="font-size: 11pt">The Dev Spaces team?s mission is to support developer productivity by providing Netflix engineers with development workflow tooling, development environments, and managed IDEs. Through the tight integration of IDEs, dev tooling, cloud workspaces, and Netflix?s internal Platform, we'll provide a development experience that guides engineers through the Netflix development lifecycle, minimizes friction, and reduces context switching.</span></p><p><br></p><p><b style="font-size: 24px">About the role</b></p><p><span style="font-size: 11pt">One of the team?s most successful products is Newt, a command line tool that orchestrates development workflows for thousands of Netflix engineers. As the seventh member of the Dev Spaces team, you?ll apply your prior experience in developer tooling towards pushing Newt and the capabilities of Netflix Engineering forward. </span></p>n<p><p><br></p><b>Responsibilities</b><ul><li>Serve as one half of a pair of engineers focused on Newt and other foundational, language-agnostic development workflow tooling.</li><li>Continue improving our ability to optionally move builds and tests off of developer laptops and into the cloud.</li><li>Explore opportunities to expand integrations between dev tooling, IDEs, and our internal remote development environment product.</li><li>Maintain feedback loops with the many teams that use our products. </li></ul><p><br></p><b>Requirements</b><ul><li>You have prior experience in a role focused within the developer productivity (IDEs, dev tooling, dev environments) space</li><li>You have professional level proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or Javascript.</li><li>You have a product-centric mindset that you use to understand business needs.
