About the position

The part-time Banking Specialist I at First Bank serves as the first point of contact for clients, providing exceptional service and support for their financial needs. This role involves processing transactions, promoting banking products, and ensuring compliance with security and regulatory procedures, all while fostering a client-friendly environment.

Responsibilities
? Greet clients courteously and by name when possible.
,
? Process client transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, payments, and check cashing accurately and efficiently.
,
? Explain the benefits of alternative banking systems like Online Banking, Online Bill Pay, and ATM services.
,
? Follow security, regulatory, and audit procedures, including daily balancing of teller drawers and reporting discrepancies.
,
? Maintain product knowledge through training and corporate communications.
,
? Identify sales opportunities and refer clients to appropriate banking services.
,
? Encourage clients to consider additional bank products that meet their needs.
,
? Provide staffing support within an assigned 'Hub' area.

Requirements
? High School Diploma or Equivalent
,
? Minimum of 12 months previous client service experience preferred
,
? Previous cash-handling experience required
,
? Previous banking experience strongly preferred
,
? NLMS registration preferred
,
? Developed customer service skills, including written and verbal communication
,
? Ability to use a PC and alpha/numeric keyboard
,
? Flexible work week schedule, which may include Saturdays.
