Hybrid Property Accountant | Remote | Accountant Role

Job Overview

We are looking for a diligent Property Accountant to join our esteemed organization, where we pride ourselves on creating a collaborative and family-oriented work environment. In this pivotal role, you will be instrumental in preparing detailed monthly and annual financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance across all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities
? Oversee move-in and move-out accounting processes
? Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable entries
? Monitor daily bank account activities and record transactions
? Prepare monthly financial statements and track all transactions for assigned properties
? Adjust tenant accounts as needed
? Conduct monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
? Post journal entries when necessary
? Address tenant disputes with professionalism and timeliness
? Review leases and ensure accurate billing for tenants
? Analyze financial statements and reports, encompassing income statements, balance sheets, general ledgers, aged receivables, and rent rolls

Required Skills
? At least 3 years of accounting experience
? Proficient in real estate accounting software such as Yardi, AppFolio, MRI, or Real Page
? Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
? Exceptional attention to detail
? Ability to thrive in a collaborative team setting
? Strong organizational capabilities and adeptness at multitasking under pressure

Qualifications
? Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience in property management or a similar field
? Bachelor?s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred
